CASE STUDIES
Clyde & Co
Boosting Internal Communications
Clyde & Co is a global law firm providing a complete service to clients across insurance, transport, energy, infrastructure and trade & commodities. Priding itself on delivering successful risk navigation to clients.
Brief
We were tasked to improve partners’ understanding of activity taking place across the firm and build out and embed the ‘Strategic Risk Navigation’ narrative across firm internal communications. We also provided support to the in-house communications team with leadership communications.
Approach
We developed the firmwide ‘Strategic Risk Navigation’ (SRN) narrative from an early-stage concept and created an accompanying content calendar.
GT also reviewed various materials from the marketing and business development teams. Included within the content calendar was an informative internal podcast series exploring the changing risk landscape clients are facing and how the firm can help them navigate these risks. This involved the use of GT’s in-house capabilities to edit the recordings and produce a finished product.
We also developed and actioned the H1 video plan. All of these efforts across several channels were supported by an SRN ‘toolkit’ for partners and staff to utilise both internally and externally with clients and colleagues.
Another key aspect of the content calendar was communications from senior leadership.
GT drafted a series of updates and messages from leadership to partners which culminated in planning for the UK Town Hall and AGM.
Effectiveness
Our scope expanded over time to include stepping in at short notice to lead preparations for the MEA Partner conference and support with video presentations, draft speeches, panel Q&As and briefing documents.
We also advised on the new structure for the communications team, providing industry research and utilising experience working with the firm to create best practice documents for new team members. Two workshops took place to help the team use creativity to boost corporate PR with sessions dedicated to creativity, brainstorming and thought leadership.
